Project life week 4

I have noticed that I am having trouble with the whole
idea of this "scrapbooking" a whole week with different photos and trying to keep the page cohesive...
Note To SELF: Let it go...keep it SIMPLE
so in honor of that idea
here is last weeks page...
yeah not really fond of it but it captures my week.
Spent the weekend with my dad and pretty much everyday
is filled with my little boy singing, dressing up and dancing, watching you tube videos all about MICHAEL JACKSON...it's cute but
all week....argh!!!
Anyway I would love to see your project life pages...

Have a great weekend.

10 days of Ornaments - Days 5,6,7,8

Oh wow - my intentions were totally good -but I have been preparing for the
holidays and baking like a crazy person.
I did get some quick ornaments made for my kids - like an heirloom of sorts.

They were quick...all you need are the following:
some alphabet blocks
wire
misc. beads or findings & some fun
vintage pieces

drill a hole through the blocks - I used letters to coordinate with
my kids names...for the girls I wired on some pearls & vintage
earring findings and for the boys I added a vintage Christmas goody
to the bottom of the block.
here they are:
sweet & simple can't wait for them to see them...

Here are a few more ideas that I wanted to share - that are all
handmade and very sweet.

Below is a Santa that is hand sewn and hand painted by a dear friend
LULU - she is a whiz with dolls and such ... she has a fabulous ETSY shop

Here is another fun Christmas ornament that is also hand sewn
and the cats head is made of paper clay & textured...
cute right?

Here is another version of the smaller version of jello molds
I made but this is about 5 inches tall and again uses a bunch of fun
vintage pieces...

O.k. 2 days left of ideas...I will see you again soon...

Hope you are getting some fun ideas...

Day 4 - christmas wall hanging

Ok we have made it to day 4 - of my 10 DAYS OF ORNAMENTS
however, today's ornament is more of a piece of holiday decor
it still hangs "like" an ornament but is more like a wall hanging but I guess
this would look pretty great on a large tree inside of a sewing room or
vintage inspired tree.

Here is the ornie:
the supplies you will need are a vintage (or new) embroidery hoop
some vintage (or new) square of fabric
and some felt for the backing
a strip of ball fringe and a hanger of sorts

You will enclose the fabric square in the hoop (cut off excess) then add your hanger to the top of the hoop then hot glue your ball fringe to the edges of the hoop
and your final step is to add your felt circle to the back and then hang er' up!

Easy and fun and you can really get vintage-y! with this.
You can fill your wall with a bunch of these hoops -
here is another example of another hoop I made.

Cute right?

well I sure am hoping someone out there is liking these ornaments
if you happen to get down to this part of my post - why not leave me a howdy hello there
I would love to come by and visit you too.

Day 3 - Jello Ornie

Jello what? I know, but I have a ton of these fun little jello molds - mini, small & large
of which can be used for the traditional jello molding or used for sorting
things in your studio or put them even better use - your art...
So here I have created even more fun ornaments...but even easier really..
All you need is:
mini jello molds
tinsel
mini Christmas pieces and & e6000

I am sure you can tell just by looking at these what you need to do;;;
But really just set them up as a diorama of sorts...use the glue and
layer and make the itty bitty small space work and create a
wonderful little wonderland in the oh so  small mold...
what do you think? I also punched a hole in the top of the mold
with my crop-o-dile to add a hange to to add to my tree.
Sweet right....and again as with the other ornaments these would look really great
on a Christmas gift - another 2fer...LOVE that

well I hope you are getting your ornaments together...and that tree decorated. have a great sunday!

Day 2 - add-on Ornament

even though I couldn't get the in-links to work I am still keeping true
to my 10 DAYS OF ORNAMENTS - hopefully some of you will share some cool
ornaments with me too....if not and you are just stopping by COOL...

o.k. so I know sometimes coming up with ideas are NOT easy but how about if you take
an already made ornament and JAZZ'er up a bit...this is really easy - like crazy easy...

I bought a pack of 2 gold glittered ornaments from the dollar store
then made a rosette (using my tim holtz die) and then I just took a vintage
german scrap santa face and stuck it on...
and check this out...looks kind of ritzy right?

I think these ornaments would also look great attached to a gift wrapped in white shipping paper or even kraft shipping paper and then a nice gold bow & these ornies hanging from the bow...
lavish - right?
Well - easy and used up more scraps - I can't complain.

I am linking this up to the following parties:
ill be back tomorrow with a another Ornament idea.
have a great weekend
